Tape, Stuck on You

I’ve always wanted a “Milton.”1L’s, it’s important for you to take stock of your life. People, places, and things (read: nouns) that will always be there for you. While some Nouns do have their Proper place, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you should overlook the obvious.
Just think. Your stapler helps you out in a bind. Your tape is stuck on you. Your pencil thinks youre sharp. Law school gives you many opportunities to feel inferior, but your office supplies wont let you down.
Your printer paper has some cutting wit. At least your printer has some inkling of what you were thinking on that LRW paper, even if your professor doesn’t have a clue.
Take solace in your fortress of solitary studying. You + seat + book + highlighter = tinkling you pink, green, yellow, or blue. Your friends and classmates get busy, they apparently have homework too. How selfish of them. They should be there for you — when you want them. Like your protractor…not quite sure why you brought a protractor to law school. While I appreciate your enthusiasm for seeing things from different angles, you may need to examine your moral compass.
1L’s, all is not lost. Finals are soon upon us. But we don’t need to fret. We don’t need to fear. Just as long we keep our office supplies near.
