You are the Master of Another's Destiny
Publius Jones, III |
Tuesday, November 8, 2011 I have another confession. I obsess about highlighters. So many pretty colors, they make my pages pretty rainbows. I like decking my textbook out with at least double the amount of requisite flair.
I often consider what the next person who has my book will think about me. What do my notes say about me as a person? What sage wisdom will I impart to the next generation? I think about these things while I stare at the page without actually reading a word. Oh, good luck to you, future students. Professors Sullivan & Gunther’s wonderful prose is bleeding purple and yellow. Future 1L, you’re also welcome for the coffee stain on page 379. I may have inadvertantly placed a tea bag near the dormant commerce clause. Like the clause, I was hibernating. Future 1L, I guess you’ll just need to bear it, like we are now. Good luck to you, reading the book through the many stains, blots, and bends.
