Tips to help you go from fantasy amateur to fantasy pro
In fantasy football, there is a collection of universal principles to achieve success that almost all players recognize: draft running backs first, draft special teams and defenses last, and start players based on matchups, just to name a few. However, even those who are more hardcore than others about their fantasy play might not pick up on some key concepts that could propel them to victory in a hotly contested league. In order to help you stomp your non-Georgetown friends for the rest of the season and beyond, I detail three such hints below.
Most valuable player awards up for grabs in MLB
Part of the problem in deciding baseball's Most Valuable Player Award each year is that it is unclear which criteria should be used. Should the award be given to the player with the best statistics on a winning team? Should it be given to the player whose absence would be felt the most if he were missing from a given team's roster? Or should it be the player who overcame the most, such as someone who had an exceptional performance on an underachieving team? Since there is no unanimity on how to answer these questions, there is no absolute answer on how voters should decide on the award.
