Ladies NFL Apparel

Guess what ladies – the NFL has officially acknowledged that we are an important part of the fan base for our favyy teams.  And thank goodness for that!  It’s tough having to wear men’s clothing every Sunday!  The NFL now supports female fans by selling women’s apparel.  While there has always been a women’s section for apparel on the websites, there hasn’t always been a very good selection.  But things have changed for the better!  All I have to say is thank you, THANK YOU, for finally making a jersey I can wear that does not look like a muumuu!

In honor of the NFL women’s line, and in honor of the women who have been wearing men’s jerseys all along, here are a few places where women can find some awesome football gear:

NFLshop:

Women’s jerseys come slim-fit and are shorter and tighter than men’s jerseys.The women’s line at NFLshop.com is awesome!  There are things available that you wouldn’t even think of on your own.  The only downside is that it’s a little bit expensive.  But then again – so is anything football related!  And if you’re in the market for a jersey these ones are no more expensive than the men’s versions, and they will definitely look better!

Victoria’s Secret:

If you’re looking for really girly clothes that just happen to have the name of your favorite team on them (aka – not a jersey), Victoria’s Secret just came out with a new Pink line dedicated to NFL teams.  The stuff is super-cute and really sparkly!  Still a little on the expensive side, but no more than anything else from Victoria’s Secret.

FansEdge:

FansEdge carries a lot of cool stuff that you probably wont find other places.  For instance, did you know that you might someday need a bracelet made out of beer bottle caps painted with your team logo?  How about a pillow pet?  (Sorry, LZ, but I totally ordered the Ravens one.  I guess you’ll just have to put up with a stuffed animal bird…)  They also have all of the typical apparel you would expect to find on a sports website.  And they have pretty good sales going a lot!

FootballFanatics:

Buffalo Bills garterThe FootballFanatics website has TONS of NFL gear.  To get to the women’s department (yes – a department on a website) you first pick your team, then click on the “Ladies” section on the left side of the screen.  A lot of what they have is similar to NFLshop, but they have other cool stuff too; who wouldn’t want to have a football-themed garter when they get married!

Sports/Department stores:

You can obviously still find NFL gear at any sports store (like Dicks or Sports Authority) and often at department stores too!  Kohl’s and JCPenny’s carry NFL gear online, and probably in-store too.  It might be harder to find girly clothes or the fitted women’s jerseys here, but hopefully everyone will start carrying NFL gear for women soon!
