Top Ten things to do on your 5 (or 6) day weekend

  1. Sleep. Seriously, channel your inner Rip Van Winkle.
  2. Outline. Not because you want to get ahead, but because you want to not have todo anything on spring break.
  3. Cut your toenails and attend to personal grooming you may have been neglecting.
  4. Spend time with the pet you’ve practically abandoned. You can never be surewhether your cat is still glad to see you, or secretly planning your death.
  5. Find out how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop.
  6. Travel somewhere sunny. If you can’t afford to travel somewhere sunny, spread abeach towel on your living room floor and point all the lamps in your house at it.Mix yourself a piña colada and don sunglasses.
  7. Call the friends from whom you’ve been too busy to take calls. Spend the wholetime complaining about law school. Let them have the last minute to talk about theirlives, so they know you still care.
  8. Spend quality time with your significant other without secretly stressing about thestudying you should be doing the whole time. Trust me, they can tell the difference.
  9. Clean out your refrigerator. It’s amazing how much space is actually in there whenyou get rid of the rotting vegetation.
  10. Write a hilarious article for Law Weekly and submit it to Christine.Sigurdson@gulawweekly.org.

Top Ten Reasons to Attend Mixers with Business and Med Students

The staff of the Top Ten just found out that there will be mixers between Georgetown law, business, and medical students. We encourage going to these events for a variety of reasons:

  1. You can pick up a sugar mama/daddy who has a better chance of getting a job than you ever will.
  2. Think of all the doctor pick up lines you could use with the med students.  You can finally put the “what section are you in” card to rest.
  3. Med students are probably really good at judging BAC levels.

The Quotable . . .

“The potentates of the old world found no difficulty in convincing themselves that they made ample compensation to the inhabitants of the new, by bestowing on them civilization and Christianity, in exchange for unlimited independence.”
